Paddington Station, London

The recently opened "Heathrow Express" service ties up here using the Darth Vader-like equipment on the left. I rode the local train on the right out of town about 10 miles, clipping along at what seemed to be a very unhurried 80 mph. Welded rail, pandrol clips, concrete ties reign here. The old chaired rail has seen its day.
